20mm x 20mm MDPE Straight Coupling
This 20mm MDPE Straight Coupling joins two lengths of 20mm blue MDPE water pipe using compression connections at both ends. Manufactured from polypropylene with EPDM O-ring seals and stainless steel grip rings. WRAS approved for potable drinking water. Commonly used for property service connections, irrigation spurs, and agricultural feeds. Pressure rated to 16 bar at 20°C. Install by cutting pipe square, deburring, and marking insertion depth. Push pipe through the nut, split ring, and O-ring into the fitting body to the stop, then hand tighten the nut and finish with a quarter turn using a wrench. Do not over-tighten. No inserts required for MDPE – the fitting grips the pipe wall directly. Can be used underground without protection. For use with 20mm OD MDPE pipe to BS EN 12201 only. Not suitable for hot water above 40°C. Demountable and reusable if undamaged.
