32mm MDPE End Cap – Compression
This 32mm MDPE End Cap is used to permanently or temporarily blank off 32mm MDPE blue or black water pipe. It uses a compression joint with an internal stainless steel grip ring and rubber EPDM O-ring seal. No tools or inserts needed – cut the pipe square, chamfer the edge, push the pipe into the fitting until it hits the stop, then tighten the nut hand-tight plus 1 to 1.5 turns with a spanner. The grip ring locks the pipe in place and the O-ring creates a watertight seal rated to 16 bar. Common for terminating underground mains supplies, capping redundant service pipes to properties, pressure testing new runs, and blanking irrigation or agricultural lines. Suitable for use with MDPE pipe to BS 6572 and BS EN 12201. WRAS approved for use with potable drinking water. UV stabilised polypropylene body resists frost and ground conditions. Not suitable for gas or hot water above 20°C. Reusable if undamaged – loosen the nut and pull the pipe out. 32mm is standard for property mains connections and larger domestic supplies.
